This is just a quick post to alert everyone who needs to file a Texas Franchise Tax Report that the Texas Comptroller’s webfile eSystem is down, as of 3pm on May 15, 2023. I’ve been trying to access the system for about 4 hours and haven’t been able to log into the system.
The Comptroller has acknowledged this issue and posted a tweet to Twitter giving the webfile users until May 17, 2023, to file and/or pay their 2023 Texas Franchise Tax reports and extensions.
⚠️ We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the Webfile eSystem outage. Franchise Tax reports, payments and extensions filed and/or paid on or before May 17 will be considered timely filed. Any late-filing penalty that would normally occur will not be assessed. (1/2)
